Altitude: 1400 MASL
Preparation: Washed
Location: Mringa, Tanzania
Variety: Bourbon, Kent
Profile: Butterscotch, Date, Peach
Located near Kisongo town under the impressive shadow of Mt. Meru and close to Arusha Airport, Mringa Estate is set on some of Africa’s most fertile land in northern Tanzania. Its volcanic, mineral-rich soils provide perfect conditions for growing premium Arabica coffee, cultivated with sustainable, time-honored farming practices.
Mringa Estate has grown into one of Tanzania’s premier coffee estates, embodying expertise and dedication to quality. Mringa Estate coffee is celebrated for its smooth, full-bodied character, with rich notes of butterscotch and subtle hints of orange, lime, and tamarind. Each cup provides a unique taste of the estate’s mineral-rich soil, carefully cultivated to bring out the authentic flavors of Tanzanian Arabica.
This beautiful, delicate coffee is one for the filter coffee enthusiasts. While it does work on espresso we think it definitely shines the most as a V60 or similar filter coffee. The smooth butterscotch mouthfeel really compliments the soft acidity of the peach and dates notes making a real coffee to remember.

“What would you think if I sang out of tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song
And I’ll try not to sing out of key”
