Producers pick their coffees in the morning and deliver the cherries the same afternoon at the mill in Aguablanca, most producers in the region are small with an average farm size of less than 5 hectares, this facility has greatly helped producers produce better coffee and receive better payment for these coffees. The climate is humid with moderate variations throughout the year, temperatures averaging between 18 degrees and 21 degrees in the coffee growing areas. It is estimated that 47% of farmers are between 41-50 years old, with 89% having raised a family on their farms, hopefully this will ensure the future of coffee production is in safe hands for generations to come.
This beautiful, delicate coffee is one for the filter coffee enthusiasts. Clean, fruity and bright with beautiful black cherry and red apple notes with a subtle hint of chocolate in the body. We really think this shines on manual filter brewing methods like V60, chemex or Kalita wave
